D. Alberta (Yates) Andrade, 84, of Westport, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 at Somerset Ridge Center. She was the wife of the late Paul D. Andrade.
Mrs. Andrade was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Albert and Letitia (Hordern) Yates, and had resided in Westport since 1966. Prior to her retirement in 1994, she worked as a purchasing agent for Citizens Union Savings Bank, Fall River.
She was a member of the Royal Travelers and the Retirees Retail Clerk Club. She was a communicant of St. George Church in Westport and was also the treasurer for the St. George Women’s Guild. Mrs. Andrade enjoyed quilting, knitting and traveling. She was a Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout den mother who loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her three sons, Paul S. Andrade of California, Peter G. Andrade and his wife Annette of Westport, and Mark C. Andrade of Westport; her daughter, Nancy E. Koohy and her husband Jeffrey of Swansea; five grandchildren, Crystal, Peter, Jordan, Amanda and Shawn; three great grandchildren, Lukas, Aniyah and Kayleah; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Barbara Dewhurst and Isabella Yates.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Saturday, Dec. 17, at St. George Church, Westport at 11 a.m.
Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, from 9-10:30 a.m. prior to the Mass.
Interment will be private.
