Community support allows Bristol to Bloom

To the editor:

We at Bristol Blooms thank the kind people of Bristol for their overwhelming response to our fall fundraising campaign. We can ensure that our beautiful hanging flower baskets will be hung again Spring of 2017!

With your generosity, we now have the funds to continue our mission to beautify our historic retail downtown district. You have made it possible, and we are very grateful!

New this year are the Christmas wreaths adorning the lanterns for all to enjoy this holiday season. Bristol Blooms hopefully has enhanced our beautifully lighted and festive town center for all to enjoy!

We also thank Kevin McBride and his Public Works crew for hanging the baskets and wreaths this year and who help us make it all possible. An additional thank you to Freirich Farm for their supply of beautiful hand tied wreaths, and to Mike Byrnes of Explore Bristol, and the Phoenix for their support and publicity.

Donations continue to be accepted. Kindly send to Bristol Blooms, Box 1083, Bristol, RI, 02809.  You can "like" us on Facebook to see photos and additional information, or go to our website.

On behalf of Bristol Blooms co-chairs Audrey Field and Susan O'Donnell, Treasurer Diane Holt, and our entire committee, we wish you a joyful holiday season and all the best for 2017!
