Written here for all to read; is the life I once lived … It has been; without any doubt; a simply wonderful life that I truly kept so dear and private. To this beautiful world I was born to a Dutch Mom; Phyllis Veronica (Van Voast) McLaughlin and an Irish Father; John Francis McLaughlin. My Mom labored throughout the Christmas holiday…Therefore; my given name would be a forever reminder of the season I was born…I was named; Carol Jean. It was with my first screams of life which marked my arrival at the break of dawn on a cold twenty seventh of December 1957; and, it was on a sunny morning while quietly gasping for breath that I silently left this beautiful world. I am the first to admit I had an awesome journey! I love you all. - CJM
