There were several “suspicious activity” complaints keeping officers busy all around the town Wednesday night, including at the Town Beach just before 9 p.m., in Independence Park at 10 p.m., on Poppasquash Road just before midnight, at a credit union on Metacom Avenue at midnight, at the Lobster Pot just after midnight, on the Stone Harbour Boardwalk on Thames Street at 12:30 a.m., and on Ferry Road around 2:30 a.m. Most required no further police action than a dispersal. In one case, on Ferry Road, police called rescue personnel to treat an intoxicated man on his front porch.

Police responded to a road rage incident on Dolly Drive just before 10 a.m. A woman called police to report a man approached her car and began to yell at her for some perceived slight on the road.
