Barrington police are trying to reunite a dog found running loose in Swansea, Mass. with a its rightful owner.
A man called the police on Tuesday, Sept. 13, after he found the dog wandering along a road in a section of Swansea that borders Barrington. The man thought the dog might belong to a Barrington resident, possibly someone living in the Hampden Meadows area.
Police took custody of the dog — it's an older terrier and is blind — and transported it to the shelter in East Providence.
Anyone with information about the dog or its owner, should call police at 401-437-3930.
