Dianne B. Snyder Tennis’s annual competitive and fun tennis open will be the weekend of September 29.
Hosted compliments of the beautiful Acoaxet Club, 152 Howland Road, Westport Harbor, this tournament is a rare opportunity for anyone seeking the chance to play on clay.  Players are invited to compete, spectate and enjoy a burger break overlooking the harbor.
The DBSTC Tennis Open runs a full draw format: Men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, mixed doubles, and a wheelchair division.  The tournament will follow a 10-game pro-set format for qualifying rounds, playing out best two out of three sets for finals.
Depending on size of the draws, finalist matches may push into the following day.  Each draw will be single elimination play with consolation rounds offered.  Qualifying rounds will begin early.
This is an annual event that has been enjoyed by both competitive and casual players.  All proceeds go to support the Dianne B. Snyder Tennis Complex located on Old County Road in Westport.
Cost to plat is $30 for singles, $50 per doubles team.
Players are asked to wear 1/2 whites, meaning either tops or bottoms must be white.  Balls will be provided. To register or for more information, emailDBSTCtennis@gmail.com or call Pam at 508.636.3320 or Lisa at 508.646.8111.
