It was a battle of the Tigers on Thursday, Jan. 30, as the Tolman Tigers faced the Tiverton Tigers in boys’ basketball at Tiverton High School. But it was the Tiverton team that got bitten in a 59-38 loss to the Pawtucket squad.

Tom Murray posted a 17 point night, including the lone three-pointer for the team. But the Tiverton Tigers couldn’t rebound from a 24-18 deficit at the half to catch the Tolman Tigers.

On Friday, Jan. 31, the Tiverton Tigers bit back when they faced the Lincoln Lions, beating them 73-37.

Playing at home, the Tigers’ team had a good night on the court with Murray, Alex Cotton, Isiaiah Lopes, and Tim Murray all scoring in double-digits.

Tim Murray, with three 3-pointers for the night, was followed by Justin Dore who made two from beyond the arc.

Tiverton pulled to 4-6 for the regular season with the win against Lincoln. They faced Central Falls on Tuesday, the Prout School on Wednesday.
