Tiverton tennis handles Shea 6-1

Tiverton boys tennis defeated Shea in an away match 6-1 Wednesday. With the win Tiverton remains tied for second place with St. Rae’s at 5-2 in league play. 

Overall, Tiverton is 5-4 with their next match at home this Thursday against Exeter West-Greenwich.The following are the scores as they went:

Singles:

2. Andy Sampaio (Tiv) def. Danny Gonzalez (Shea) 6-1, 6-1

3. Dylan Clement (Tiv) def. Bear Brissette (Shea) 6-2. 6-2

4. Dominic Payer (Tiv) def. Edwin Garcia (Shea) 6-1, 6-2

Doubles:

1st – Lia Thornton/Tom O’Hara (Tiv) def. Emile Fernando/Roberto Chavez (Shea) 6-0, 6-0

2nd – Chris Daluz/Malik Barros (Shea) def. Amy Thornton/Rachel Mauricio (Tiv) 7-6 (7-5) 0-6, 6-0

3rd – Owen Flanagan/Avery Pacheco (Tiv) def. Lucas Cardosa/Gabriel Awplid (Shea) 6-0, 6-0
