Mt. Hope’s Raiola selected to 2012 All League All Academic Team

Jesse Raiola, a junior at Mt. Hope High School was recently named to the All League All Academic Team for the 2012 football season by the RI Football Coaches Association.

During the 2012 football season, Jesse broke the single season rushing yards record and the single season rushing touchdowns record. He rushed for 1,402 yards on 215 carries and scored 17 rushing touchdowns during the season, setting Mt. Hope High School records for rushing yards in a season and rushing touchdowns in a season. The previous record was held by Aaron Booth during the 2009 season.

Jesse was also picked as a 2012 First Team All Division II-A running back for the RI Interscholastic League, and was also chosen by the Providence Gridiron Club as Mt. Hope’s Most Valuable Offensive Player for 2012.
