KPLL holding registrations this month, next

King Philip Little League in Bristol will be holding registrations for the upcoming 2013 Little League season on Thursday nights, Jan. 24 and 31, from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Saturdays, Jan. 26 and Feb. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All the signups will be held at Elder Care Community Room.
The fees for the league vary, depending on when players are registered.
For T-ball, A Division and AA Division, players who sign up before Feb. 3 will pay $50 each; after that date the price increases to $70.
For AAA Division and Major Division, registration prior to Feb. 3 is $80, and after that date, $100.
For Junior and Senior Divisions, it’s $100 prior to Feb. 3 and $120 after. There is a maximum charge per family of $210 (prior to Feb. 3) or $230 (after), and a fund-raising fee of $25 per family. Scholarships will be considered upon request.
Following are some additional requests:
• First time players must bring a copy of their birth certificate and 2 proofs of residency.
• Parents wishing to manage, coach, volunteer or vote in the next election should bring their driver’s license in order to fill out a BCI form. Background checks are mandatory per Little League as well as the Town of Bristol
• A form of payment for the registration and fund-raising fee. Checks, cash, and credit cards will all be accepted. A $15 fee will be required in the result of a check returned due to insufficient funds. Credit card transactions will be subject to an additional $3 per player processing fee.
