Huskies hoopsters win three straight

Following are game reports for the last three games. Mt. Hope’s current record is 9-3.
Monday, Jan. 7
Mt. Hope 64, Warwick Vets 44
The Huskies defeated Warwick Veterans High School 64-44 last Monday night in Bristol. Junior guard Matt Scott led the Huskies with 21 points. Scott also had 14 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Senior forward Ben Francis had 13 points, four rebounds, one assist and a steal. Junior guard Kyle Valenzuela had 11 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals. Sophomore guard Alex Francis had seven points, three assists and three steals. Junior forward Jared Ramos drained a three-pointer and had seven rebounds, one assist and a block. Senior forward Eric Pattie drained a three-pointer and had one rebound and a steal. Junior forward Nick Murgo had two points, five rebounds and two steals. Senior forward Matt McGee had two points, one rebound and a steal. Sophomore forward Tyler Barbosa had two points and two rebounds.
Wednesday, Jan. 9
Mt. Hope 77, Pilgrim 66
The Huskies defeated Pilgrim High School 77-66 last Wednesday night in Warwick. Junior guard Matt Scott led the Huskies with 29 points. Scott also had five rebounds, one assist and four steals. Senior forward Ben Francis had 21 points, five rebounds, one assist and four steals. Junior guard Kyle Valenzuela had 17 points, two rebounds, four assists and four steals. Senior forward Eric Pattie had six points, one rebound and an assist. Junior forward Nick Murgo had four points and 12 rebounds. Junior forward Jared Ramos had four rebounds. Senior forward Pat Guthlein had two rebounds.

Friday, Jan. 11
Mt. Hope 56, Burrillville 18
The Huskies defeated Burrillville High School 56-18 last Friday night in Bristol. Junior guard Matt Scott and Senior forward Ben Francis each led the Huskies with 16 points. Scott also had 11 rebounds, three assists and six steals. Francis added seven rebounds, one assist and four steals. Junior forward Jared Ramos had seven points, four rebounds and a steal. Junior guard Kyle Valenzuela had six points, four rebounds, three assists and four steals. Senior forward Eric Pattie had six points, four rebounds, one assist and a block. Senior forward Pat Guthlein had three points and five rebounds. Junior forward Nick Murgo had two points and seven rebounds. Mt. Hope’s record is now 9-3 (6-3 in the league).
