March For Our Lives Founders Book Tour RI appearance. Barrington Books is pleased to host founding members of March For Our Lives in a moderated conversation for the release of their book Glimmer of Hope: How Tragedy Sparked a Movement on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, 6:00pm at Cranston High School East 899 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI. This ticketed event offers two ticket options to attend.

Glimmer of Hope is the official, definitive book from The March For Our Lives founders. Glimmer of Hope tells the story of how a group of teenagers raced to channel their rage and sorrow into action, and went on to create one of the largest youth-led movements in global history. 100% of the authors’ proceeds will benefit the March for Our Lives Foundation and the ongoing fight for gun violence prevention in the United States. Ticket A: $20.00 ticket which includes a copy of the book Glimmer of Hope and admission to a meet and greet line following the event.

Ticket B: Free for children under the age of 18 and college students with active I.D. Ticket B will require proof of age/or active college ID. Admission to event only.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
