Geoffrey P. Higginbotham, 33, of Nelson Street, Rumford, beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and an inspiration to all passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and closest friends on Tuesday February 28, 2017.
Born in Providence, a son of Stephen P. and Ellen-Ann (Corry) Higginbotham of Barrington, he lived in Rumford for the past three years.
Mr. Higginbotham was an English teacher at East Providence High School for the past eight years.
Geoffrey was a graduate of Boston College Class of 2005, a member of the Alumni Association and was a student film critic. He was a member of the East Providence Educational Association and the National Education Association. He enjoyed movies, golfing and spending time with his loving family and friends.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Kate Ellen Higginbotham of Bristol and Meg Corry Higginbotham of Barrington; a brother, Matthew S. Higginbotham and his wife Sandra of Cumberland; two beloved nephews, Gavin and Dylan and beloved aunts and uncles, Susan and George Luz, William and Karen Corry, John and Toni Corry, Richard and Carole Higginbotham and Kathleen Higginbotham.
His funeral was held from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside on Monday, March 6, with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, 108 Washington Road, Barrington.
