Police seek target in East Providence robbery

Update August 10 shooting

EAST PROVIDENCE — The East Providence Police Department issued a press release late Saturday afternoon, Aug. 11, seeking assistance from the public in locating the target of a robbery investigation.

The EPPD announced it has an active warrant for Ross Busby, 31, whose last known address was Arnold Street in Woonsocket.

Mr. Busby is the suspect in a home invasion in city on July 19. He is being pursued on charges of Robbery, Breaking & Entering, and Conspiracy.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts are urged to contact the East Providence Police Detective Division at 435-7600.

In addition, EPPD Detective Lieutenant Ray Blinn gave an update on the shooting that took place in city the previous day, Aug. 10, which left one man injured and two male suspects in custody. Lt. Blinn said the names of the two men alleged to be involved in the crime will be released shortly, but was delayed for the moment “for investigation purposes.”
