Fiddle n Folk Festival set for Sept. 16

Haines Park plays host to fun event

Posted

The seventh annual Fiddle n Folk Fest will be held in Haines Park (near the boat launch) on Saturday, Sept. 16. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year's Fiddle n Folk Fest will feature a dozen acts — Golden Bantams, French Roast, Bay Spring Folk, Bluegrass Invitation Band, and more — storytelling by Len Cabral, food trucks, craft vendors, dancing, and kids activities.

People are also invited to join the all-levels fiddle jam with Michelle Kaminsky from 10 to 11 a.m.

Festival-goers are also welcome to bring a chair and a blanket and enjoy the day overlooking Narragansett Bay. The day's events are free, thanks to generous support from RI State Council on the Arts, the Town of Barrington, Barrington Public Library, The Bay Team, Friends of the Bay Spring Community Center, Ocean Point Insurance, New Harvest Coffee, RIDEM, and many generous individuals.

The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 17. For more information go to facebook.com/FiddleNFolkFest.

The Fiddle n Folk Fest is produced by Local Brew Events.
