No it's still owned by the fop just operated by a crappy owner who is more concerned with him then anyone's safety ...sad part is some how 2 people get stabbed that the police find out about he get nothing he is open for business a week after it happens...the person the business is under has no idea what goes on she has maybe spent a total of 80 hr per year ...at the most and he supposedly runs. Another in Fall River as well. Some one will have to die there before any real action is taken just like the place on Charles st in providence an that place is open again...

People don't do the right thing to have the right out come cause they don't want to spend the money or call the cops or whatever they rather have people get hurt to worst die so if your looking to get stab hit up east bay I hear you can get jumped or run over there to...great place jot party safely..lmao

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
