If you would like to see more of the same mantra, you don`t have to go far - three people decided to write pretty much the same story, not unlike their previous PondView chain letters. It is no secret that they tow the line for Ward 1 Councilman, who is opposed to requested increase in non-union wages, while he decides to slash almost $1,000,000 in revenue from the next year budget.

By all accounts, the City Manager and senior staff have doing a stand-up job in East Providence. Do you really think that the Budget Commission that met twice a month could have implemented all these changes? Of course not! You need qualified professionals making it happen, and East Providence finally has a good group.

The Council should look past the rhetoric and vitriol, and provide at least the same consideration to its management, it so easily supports for the union folk, who make up almost 99% of the workforce in EP. If you keep making disrespectful choices, you shouldn't expect commitment. That's just common sense.
