Something about this story seems very fishy. The Post talks about a "law enforcement source" that explains that the Chief made this move and why. Is this source Chief Tavares himself? If so, why does the Post not indicate this? If not, who is the source and how does this person know what the Chief did and why? Presumedly, this is the same source that knows what the City Manager is doing about it. Was either the Chief or the City Manager interviewed by the Post? Or are we relying on an unamed person's assumptions and an anonymous posting on an anonymous facebook account. It sounds to me like there needs to be a whole lot more journalism done on this before we know the truth.
