This is bull now everyone's gotta suffer bad enough taxes an gas is skyhigh I live in mass but I work in Newport now me an others that live in mass but work in Portsmouth Middletown an Newport gotta suffer to pay just to go to work awful just awful traffic is gonna be a mess deff gonna be back up 2 lanes on each side ohhh yes just wait an see they shoulda raised ticket prices for people that get pullover or speeding let the people that break the law pay why should we when people r trying to make a living going to work shouldn't pay for a toll that's bs this is gonna be one Big mess I bet u that Alott of people r angry and will not settle for this just wait an see for ya own eyes surprised mt hope doesn't have a toll yet every other bridge in ri pretty much does bridge isn't even done yet there obvv way past there dead line the roads r a mess don't worry about the bridge fix them damn roads there a mess

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
