How many family members of tonight's graduate class, feel robbed not by the rain, but instead by the graduation arrangements set by East Providence High School?

I am a proud stepfather who has been part of my sons life since the age of four. He graduated tonight and sadly I was not able to be a part of this once in a lifetime special day. I don't blame the rain, I blame the high school for not having a better back up plan or a better plan all together. Due to the rain forcing the ceremony indoors, only two guests may be at the ceremony per graduate. Obviously no one can control the weather but possibly should they have a rain date, as an alternative to moving indoors and shutting out important family members? Maybe consider booking a larger venue and selling graduation tickets?

In my opinion what has happen tonight, cannot be erased for myself and many others, as I am certain. We have lost an irrecoverable piece of history in our children's lives. We will never get to experience the emotions of our young adult graduates crossing the stage. To add salt to the wound I hear certain graduates had more then the allowed two guests.
