YEARS IN REAL ESTATE: “I’ve been immersed in real estate since a young age. Growing up, my father owned his own brokerage, Bruno Real Estate, in Bristol. As a child, I remember going to work with him, and some days I would tag along on showings. If he were still here today he would tell you I knew how to write up an offer by age 7. Real estate is in my blood.”

FAMILY: “My Mom Linda, sisters Laurie and Briana, and my lovely niece Kennedy – all girls! And I’m married to real estate.”

EDUCATION: “I went to Rhode Island College and graduated with a communications degree before going on to get my real estate license.”

PREVIOUS CAREERS: “I have always been in sales, and working with people”

TECHNOLOGY I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT: “My iPhone and Siri. My clients know I can be reached 24 hours a day.”

PROUDEST MOMENT: “Becoming owner of a real estate brokerage before the age of 30.”

MENTOR: “When I first got my Real Estate Sales license I knew if I wanted to be the best, I had to surround myself with the best. That’s when I meet Deb Cordeiro. She taught me everything she’s knows … Act like a lady, think like a man and work like a dog. Soon after, I went on to get my broker’s license, and in July of this year Deb and I become business partners /owners at EXIT Harborside Realty.”

PERSON WHO INFLUENCED ME THE MOST: “My mom, because she has shown me that when there’s a will there’s a way. Growing up, she instilled the values and work ethic that are needed to succeed in any area of life. Integrity is something that cannot be learned from a textbook. Thanks, Mom.”

DREAM HOME: “A Mediterranean style villa overlooking the ocean.”

WHY I LOVE THE EAST BAY: “There’s no place like home. No matter where you go in Rhode Island you’re never too far from the ocean.”

FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM: “It’s all about 18! Boston Celtics, baby!”

DEATH ROW MEAL: “A nice glass of red wine and something chocolate.”

FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT: “My mother’s kitchen table.”

DREAM LUNCH DATE: “One more lunch date with my grandfather (Papa Frank). He used to take all his grandchildren out on special lunch dates. When it was my turn we used to go to Angelo’s on the Hill for veal and peppers — that was our favorite. He always had the best stories to tell.”

GUILTY PLEASURE: “Nordstrom.”

MY FAVORITE SALE AND WHY: “I think your first will always have a special place in your heart.”

THREE THINGS ON MY BUCKET LIST: “Enter a poker tournament, courtside seats at a Celtics game and learn how to fly a plane.”

ESCAPE: “Any place warm with a beach. Or the shoe department at Nordstrom, Barneys or Neiman Marcus!”

SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT ME: “I am always prepared for anything. My girlfriends call me the traveling CVS because I have anything you could possibly need in my purse at all times. They tease me about it but they all know whom to come to when they need something. Whether it’s a Band-Aid, flashlight or toothpaste, you name it, I have it.”

SECRET TO SELLING REAL ESTATE: “Always put your client first. Concentrate on service and success will follow. The moment an agent puts their own needs before their clients is the moment they fail. And always answer your phone.”

THREE THINGS IN THE TRUNK OF MY CAR RIGHT NOW: “Open house signs, smoke detectors, and a new pair of heels.”

ADVICE TO BUYERS: “There will be people 5 to 10 years from now who will say, ‘I should have bought real estate in 2012.’ ”

ADVICE TO SELLERS: “Number one, call Alaina Bruno. Number two, see number 1. And number 3: Do your homework on the broker you are choosing to sell your home. Align yourself with a true professional who will go to work for you.

BEST WAY TO CONTACT ME: “My cell 401-440-3548 or email me at abrunosold@gmail.com”
