PORTSMOUTH — Three seats will be up for grabs next week when the Portsmouth Water and Fire District hosts its election for the seven-member Administrative Board.
Registered voters residing within the District will elect two tax assessors and one tax collector for three-year terms.
The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, at the District's office, 1944 East Main Road.
Running for the two tax assessor’s seats are Walter H. Coelho, 162 King Phillip St.; incumbent Theodore T. Czech, 120 Roger Williams Court; David M. Gleason, 63 Massasoit Ave.; and John McDaid, 65 Gormley Ave.
Incumbent Frederick W. Faerber, III is running for the tax collector’s seat.
As required by a recent change in state law, voters will be required to show identification to vote in the District’s election.
