PORTSMOUTH — Have some old plastic lawn furniture or crates that you’re dying to get rid of?

If so, you’re in luck. From 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 9, the town is hosting a hard plastic collection at the transfer station, corner of Hedly Street and West Main Road. 

You must own a town transfer station sticker to be admitted to the event.

Items that are acceptable to deposit Saturday include carts, crates, buckets, baskets, lawn furniture, tubs, trays and toters.

Items that will not be accepted include PVC pipe, Styrofoam, metal attachments (axels, bucket handles, etc.), rubber, wood, toys with metal or batteries, child car seats, items with polyethylene terephthalate (PET) such as soft plastic/bottles. and nursery pipe and horticultural trays.

Collection guidelines are also available at the transfer station and Town Hall.
