PORTSMOUTH — There will be no school in Portsmouth Tuesday in anticipation of a major snowstorm heading our way.
Portsmouth public schools canceled classes, as did Aquidneck Island Christian Academy, Bradley School and St. Philomena School.
Town Hall and the Portsmouth Free Public Library will not be open.
The list of closings also includes Island Child Care Center and Island Day School., St Barnabas Church and St. Mary's Church.
Tuesday night's School Committee meeting has been re-scheduled to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 19, at Town Hall.
There’s a parking ban in effect from midnight Tuesay ot 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
