Dorothy A. Medeiros, 90, Little Compton

Dorothy A. Medeiros, 90, of Little Compton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2017, with family by her side. 

Born in Little Compton in 1926, she was the daughter of Manuel and Mary (Flores) DeRosa.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anibal Medeiros, marrying in 1948.

Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Diane Labrecque and her husband John of Blackstone, Mass.; three sons, Donald and his wife Doreen, Ronald and his wife Michelle of Little Compton and James Medeiros of Tiverton. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Sean, Michael, Nicole, Valerie, Christine and Melissa; and her great-grandchildren, Madyson, Logan, Adam, Layla, Sawyer and Vivian. Dorothy is also survived by a sister, Josephine DeRosa. She was predeceased by her son, Wayne Medeiros, grandson Christopher Medeiros and brother Pat DeRosa. 

A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine’s of Siena in Little Compton. Dorothy wished for calling hours to be omitted. Burial will be private.
