EAST BAY -Here is the weekly listing of pets available for adoption at area animal shelters, as well as contact information and other resources for finding a pet. For shelters that don't have their own Web site, try searching for available pets at www.petfinder.com.

Bristol Animal Shelter

* Cats: Lilly, a young female, domestic short hair; Cola, an adult female, domestic short hair, Siamese; Dempsy, an adult, male, buff and white domestic short hair; Pepper, an adult female, tortoiseshell; Snowball, an adult male, domestic long hair, white; Angel, an adult, female, white domestic medium hair; Bianca, an adult, female, white domestic short hair; Ms. Herbie, an adult, female domestic short hair; Coral, an adult female, dilute tortoiseshell, domestic short hair; Kahuna, an adult male, tiger, domestic short hair; Expresso, an adult male, Persian; Sandy, an adult, female, domestic short hair; and several kittens.

* The shelter is offering reduced-cost spays and neuters for cats only. Accepting donations of canned and dry kitten food, old sheets and towels.

Sakonnet Veterinary Hospital

* Dogs: Maverik, a 4-year-old male husky mix, neutered; and a female, lemon and white beagle.

* Cats: Nutter, 4 years old, tan, neutered and de-clawed.

* Found: A shepherd mix and a lab mix, both female, found at Eagleville; and a brindle male.

Barrington Services for Animals

* Lost Cats: A 15-year old neutered male, orange with white chest, lost on Charles Street; a long-haired, neutered, black male house cat, lost on Middle Highway and a small, brown and cream, blue-eyed spayed female cat, Siamese mix, lost on Third Street.

* Adoption: A several kittens available for adoption.

* If you are in a low-income household and need help paying to spay or neuter your animal, call Debbie at Volunteer Services for Animals in East Providence at 273-0358.

* In need of cat food. Food donations at Shaw's would be appreciated.

Warren Animal Shelter

Potter League for Animals

* Dogs: Kip, an 11-month-old male, black Labrador retriever/German shepherd mix; and Bishop, a 4-year-old male, white and brown border collie mix.

* Potter's has many cats up for adoption; check the Web site for photos and more information.

* All pets are spayed are neutered. The shelter also has many small animals for adoption.

Forever Paws Shelter

* Dogs: George, a young male Labrador retriever, very hyper; Sam, a male shiba inu, tan and red, very mellow, may have to be the only pet in the house; Blake, a 7-month-old male black Lab mix, loves to play, would be a great family pet; Ahab, an adult, male, black lab/pitbull mix; Olivia, a young, female, beagle/pitbull mix; Hazel, a female, baby Labrador retriever/American Staffordshire terrier mix; Tyson, a young, male pit bull terrier; Darren, a male, adult Ibizan hound; and Chico, a young, male miniature pinscher.

* Tons of cats: Mostly domestic short hairs and some domestic long and medium hairs in assorted colors, ranging in age from 9 months to 5 years. Kittens are also available.

* Cats: Winston, a very active orange and white young male; Fiona, a black and white shy female who needs a loving adult home; Ed, a 5-month-old solid black male, very sociable; Luna, a fun-loving gray and white kitten; Minnie, a 4-month-old solid gray princess; Crystal, a beautiful adult tortoiseshell; Maddie, an 8-month-old dilute tortie; and many other adults of various ages and colors looking for a second chance. All cats have been spayed/ neutered, vaccinated and received any needed veterinary care.

* Kittens: Lots of kittens, male and female, well socialized, most colors including calicos, torties, orange, black and white, tigers and tabbies. All kittens have been vet checked and received age appropriate vaccinations.

Seekonk Animal Shelter

* Cats: Nellie and Nora, adult sisters, one dark tortie, one calico with white, must stay together and be indoor only; Clara's kittens, a litter of 18-week-old kittens, tiger and white; Mitch, a beautiful, large adult orange male; Josh, a large, white adult male, super personality; Enrique, a black and white adult male, extremely affectionate, needs extra care and an indoor home; and Nicholas, a funny, friendly big tiger boy. All cats have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccinations and have received any needed medical care.

* Dogs: Sam, a very nice, loving hound dog, will make a great pet for a quiet home; and Ben, a very large, gentle, loving Newfoundland,/Labrador mix who's had a rough first 10 years and needs a great place to live out his senior years.
