PORTSMOUTH — He’s making a list, checking it twice, and getting ready to pass out candy canes to Portsmouth children all over.

Santa’s tours by tractor will begin Friday, Dec. 1, and run every night for eight nights — except Sunday.

You can find out when Santa is coming to your neighborhood by checking out the maps posted on the “Santa’s Tour-Portsmouth” Facebook page.

The tours are weather permitting, so any cancellations will cause a delay in the schedule. Updates will be posted on the Facebook page.

Prudence by copter

Santa will also be making a special visit — by helicopter — to the Prudence Island Lighthouse from 2:50-3:20 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3.

The event is hosted by the Prudence Island Volunteer Fire Department.
