Born Annette Cora Plante to Wilfred and Alma (Charbonneau) Plante, Cora was a lifelong active parishioner of St. Anthony's Church, where she was a member of the choir and a volunteer office worker.

Cora enjoyed sewing and painting and was an avid gardener. She was full of fun and loved to laugh, and always very sweet. Her family was most important to her and she will be dearly missed by all and forever remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt.

Cora is survived by her cherished husband of 73 years, Raymond E. Chase; their daughters Carolyn Waters, Barbara Ross, Ann Marie Chase and their son Michael Chase; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sister, Thelma Ouellette, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother Roger Plante and sister Rita Patterson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Anthony’s Church Building Fund, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
