Apparently, the family that lives behind the auto body shop objects to the “whish” sound of the propellers in a strong wind. It’s strange that there have been no complaints from other residential owners adjacent to or near the property. Perhaps the complainant hasn’t investigated the planting of the fast growing type of arbor vitae hedge or trees that would effect a sound and sight barrier. Obviously these things take time, but they are effective.
Mr. Coelho, owner of Safe Way Auto Body, is a highly respected member of the Bristol community. In fact, he was Grand Marshall of the 4th of July parade a few years back. He certainly was in compliance with all codes before the erection of the wind turbine. I hope those who represent our legal system and the members of our Town Council are fully aware of the need of saving energy and moving forward with such legal devices as wind turbines in Bristol.
