Rumford Parent Advisory Council thanks Spring Fling supporters

To the editor,
The Rumford Parent Advisory Council (PAC) held their 4th annual Spring Fling silent auction on April 25 at the Hot Club in Providence. Funds raised help support ongoing activities and special events for students of the Children’s Place ltd. in Rumford.
A 50/50 raffle was held along with the silent auction. There were 23 gift baskets that were won and a grand total of $1,829 was raised!

A special thank you to Sarah and Eben Bates, proprietors of the Hot Club for providing complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a location to hold our event. Mrs. MaryAnn Peterson, Assistant Director of the Children’s Place, Ltd. for all her hard work. Finally, thank you to the parents, family and friends who supported the event.
I would also like to acknowledge my fellow council members for their efforts in making this event successful: Joe Baxter, Jeff DiStefano, Melissa Leite, Tammy Pontes, Tara Rego, Vania Rebollo, Tanya Romani and Michael Tortolani.
The 5th annual Spring Fling will be scheduled for the spring 2014.
