My family will miss David Tupaj

To the editor:

tupaj, obitThere are two more people who would like to say good-bye to David Tupaj: Myself and my son Zak.

David had a soft spot for Zak. Every time he saw David, he would run up to him and give him a big hug.

He introduced Zak to his son Nick. Instant magic, if there was even a small place to play, they played.

When they played in the yard across the street from my home, like magic, footballs, Frisbees, and various trucks would appear. I kept them in the garage for just those occasions.

Also, David was giving. Often, he would ask me if I had enough money, or food or books. He knew I was, and still am, an avid reader. David had a beautiful love for kids. Here was a person who could make my son so happy just by asking Zak if he wanted to take a quick walk to the store.

David always had a smile and a hug for Zak and me. Zak and I will miss him greatly.

One consolation is now he’s up there on my side. Thank you, David, for being who you were; and for who you are now, an angel.
