Thanks, volunteers, for cleaning Tiverton beaches

To the editor:

Tiverton Garden Club wants to thank all those who participated in the 2012 International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, Sept. 15. Sixteen volunteers pitched in to gather seven huge bags of trash and many smaller bags of recyclables.

In addition to the bags, volunteers removed a pile of old boards that was dumped at Grinnell Beach. Thanks to Cheryl Marotto for providing homemade refreshments for our enthusiastic volunteers.
