Thank you for your votes, Warren and Barrington

To the editor:

I am writing to thank the citizens of Barrington and Warren who came out on Election Day and supported our message of reforming the tax code to put thousands of Rhode Islanders back to work, to improve public education, and to implement term limits to make our government more efficient and accountable. I really appreciate all the volunteers who braved the cold to hold signs at the polls, to the Barrington Senior Center and Kickemuit Village Seniors who were so welcoming, to the Barrington High School students and to the Roger Williams University students who went door-to-door with thousands of pieces of campaign literature, and to all the friends and neighbors who volunteered in countless ways and generously donated to the campaign. I look forward to continuing to work with everyone in Barrington and Warren to make our communities the very best. I wish everyone a happy holiday season and all the best for 2013.

  1. Great letter Peter! I too want to thank those who worked to support your campaign for accountability and efficiency in government…. two things that are sorely missing in RI Government.

I hope that you will run again in the next election cycle!

The only hope for true change in Rhode Island is to elect politicians that will work to reform RI’s tax structure which will help to create jobs.

You stand on appealing the 10% affordable housing mandate is extremely important for all to support. The ramifications of this mandate in tax consequences to the home-owners is unacceptable!

    Best of luck to you!
