To the editor:
I am writing in response to the article written about my tennis coach, Eddie Anelundi. I am a sophomore on the BHS varsity tennis team and have known Eddie for two years. I’d like to set the record straight, he has never verbally abused me or my teammates.
I think we all know that coaches yell! That’s just how it is, it’s what they do. They yell to get your attention and keep you focused. They yell so you can hear them when you are 50 to 100 feet away from them. They yell because they are very passionate about what they do. They yell when you lose, and especially when you win.
We as a tennis team have been truly blessed to be coached by Eddie Anelundi and I am very proud to call him my coach. Oh, and by the way, did I mention, coaches yell! Just deal with it.
