To The editor:
A front page article in the Saturday, December 22 Barrington Times shared our Police Chief, John LaCross’s thinking about assigning an armed, uniformed police officer to each of our town’s schools.
The article also cited Barrington School Committee Chairman, Bob Shea’s question about whether having a police officer in the schools will actually make the children feel safer.
One of Barrington’s police officers lived right across the street from me for a few years; I sure felt safer.
