To the editor:

I am a Barrington resident and an employee of Rhode Island College. I hope everyone in Barrington will review the information on Question 3, which will allow the college to renovate its two largest classroom buildings and provide a modest enhancement of facilities for the School of Nursing.

These buildings are 50 years old and are in dire need of improvement. The School of Nursing is one of the best schools of nursing in the U.S., and the investment in RIC is an investment in the future of our state and economy.

Barrington residents have always been strong supporters of public education, and a surprising number of Barrington High School graduates attend RIC. I am confident that Barrington residents will support Question 3 if they know what is at stake.
