To the editor:
We owe a debt of gratitude to councilwoman Kate Weymouth and all those who voted for a plastic bag ban here in Barrington.
We can sleep better tonight knowing that our polar ice caps will melt a little slower and oceans around the world will not rise and flood our shores.
Barrington, once again, has saved the world from itself.
Perhaps next, Ms. Weymouth and her pals can pass an ordinance to ticket gas guzzling SUVs and other offensive behemoths as they cross into the borders of our exclusive community. It would certainly open up a bunch of parking spaces in Barrington Center.
But what will we do with all those Land Rovers?
