Outpouring of love evident at Amicable Thanksgiving feast

To the editor:
In the name of Amicable Church at Tiverton Four Corners, I want to thank the greater Tiverton community for its support of our Thanksgiving Day dinner.

Not only did individuals and businesses give financial support and donations of food for this meal, but many people gave of their time to prepare, serve, and clean up. About 65 people enjoyed the family-style dinner served in our dining room and approximately 35 meals were delivered to the homes of people who were unable to attend the dinner, either because they had no transportation or because they are home-bound.

In this meal the love of God and the love of our neighbor – the double commandment of our faith – have been made manifest. This outpouring of love, by those who helped with and/or were served by this dinner, is without a doubt the most appropriate way anyone can give thanks to God. Once again, for all those who made this meal possible we say, “Thank you.”
