To the editor:
On Christmas Day (with a house full of family, including a doctor), my wife Eveline had problems breathing.
Our son-in-law, a nephrologist who saved my life over 15 years ago, examined my wife and didn’t like the results.
While we were preparing to take my wife to the hospital, she started trembling. I told our son-in law that I was calling 911 — and did so.
On Christmas Day, in minutes, six first responders were in our home. They stabilized my wife and rushed her to Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Thanks to our son-in law, Tiverton’s 911 team and first responders, Charlton Memorial, etc., Eveline is now doing well.
As Tiverton residents for over 40 years, we appreciate the time that support people spend away from their families on holidays — and we express our gratitude to all.
