Letter: Dodging Route 88′s deep, dangerous potholes

To the editor:

People driving on Route 88, both north and south, are experiencing a risky challenge. There are potholes, new ones, and many remaining from last winter and they now have become holes that will ruin tires, damage the front end and steering parts of your vehicle.

Some potholes have been repaired, mostly small ones. What we are seeing today are huge and some of the larger ones are deep. The real challenge is dodging them. It’s not a game but swinging from right to left dodging them isn’t fun. It’s  a  hazard.  At night you can’t see them but there are there.

The state is responsible for maintaining and keeping the roads safe. Route 88 is not safe.
