To the editor:
The Republicans are showing very clearly that they wish to interfere with women’s choices over their own bodies. This is not theoretical. This is reality.
Scott Brown cannot deny that he co-sponsored the Blunt Amendment which, for example, would have allowed any employer or insurance company to refuse to provide its female employees with birth control and preventive services. He claims that he is pro-choice, but when the chips are down he has voted with his Republican colleagues to challenge the rights of women.
Let’s not provide the likes of Todd Akin in Congress with support of any kind. Unfortunately, a vote for this Republican senator may be just that. We urge you to vote for Elizabeth Warren to assure our senator from Massachusetts will work to protect and further equal rights and parity for women.
