To the editor:

Recently I attended an ice cream social in Westport for Elizabeth Warren, candidate for US Senate in Massachusetts running against Republican Scott Brown. She spoke with a real passion about standing up for workers and small businesses and fighting for the middle class. She is committed to rebuilding and investing this country’s educational, environmental and economic systems to open up opportunities for all of us, not just for those who already have it made.

I’m not usually one for political events, but I came away impressed and inspired.  If you haven’t heard Elizabeth Warren speak yet, I encourage you to listen to her vision for the future or check out her website, www.elizabethwarren.com). She is caring, smart, persistent and willing to stand up against entrenched Washington interests.
