Letter: DPLA offers digitized resources for students and scholars

To the editor:
On Thursday, April 18 the Digital Public Library of America, or DPLA, is being launched at the Boston Public Library. Created by a group of libraries, museums and research institutes the goal is to provide free access to the contents of all these institutions.

To reach the goal, more holdings need to be digitized and copyright problems need to be faced, but this is a great beginning to be hailed by all students, scholars and readers.
