Don’t trick kids into eating veggies

To the editor:

The sneaky zucchini chicken nuggets recipe bothered me because I think children should know what they’re eating. Also, you shouldn’t sneak veggies into other food to make children learn to like them.

Here are some ideas that might help with serving veggies — Coggeshall Farm food programs, Skill-It cooking classes with Leah Cherry, farmer’s markets, growing your own veggies and more.

Hiding vegetables is not a good way to teach children to like them.
