To the editor:
In case you haven’t seen an illusionist in person, you’ll have a chance on October 27 at the Marine Museum. Lynn Dillies, a master illusionist who has appeared before audiences throughout the United States and Canada, will display her magical powers. With more than 20 years of experience, she has been hailed as the finest female magician in the land as well as one of America’s top illusionists – male or female. Lynn has won every award imaginable including a Dove Award and a Parent’s Choice Award.Lynn also performs her show “Magic At The Symphony” live with symphonies all around the country and has performed several times at the Lincoln Center in New York. This program combines the majesty of classical music with Lynn’s thrilling illusions encouraging children to discover the magic of classical music while experiencing the harmony of her illusions. Lynn created magic history by being the only illusionist before or since to make two live Asian elephants appear in succession. This incredible feat was accomplished outdoors, in front of an audience of her peers, for the grand opening of the Buttonwood Park Zoo in New Bedford. If you haven’t seen an illusionist perform, this is an opportunity to see a master illusionist. If you have seen one, you know how fascinating an experience it is. In either case, an intriguing performance awaits you at the Marine Museum. Four years ago, Lynn produced an elephant and donkey to celebrate the opportunity we have to elect our president. The theme Saturday will be “To Celebrate Our Freedom to Vote” and will honor the service of our veterans. Who knows what she’ll come up with Saturday?
