To the editor:

We write to introduce Little Compton Community First (LCCF), a new organization that was formed in mid-January 2013 with the goal of fostering positive change for our town while supporting cherished traditions. Below is the LCCF mission statement:

“Little Compton Community First is a non-profit, non-partisan grassroots organization which advocates for our community through the honest and transparent dissemination of information, constructive civic participation, and volunteerism.”

With over 60 members to date, LCCF is strong and growing. We believe in a thriving community that supports a healthy, vibrant and well-funded school; services for the elderly; the fiscally responsible growth of all current and new town services; and easy access to information about all official town meetings and any issues that impact the wider Little Compton community. We encourage volunteer support of events throughout the community, a buy-local effort to encourage small business, and the promotion of all that is best about Little Compton.

Please join our effort by writing to info@lccfirst.org or P.O. Box 1001, Little Compton, RI 02837. Your contact information will remain confidential.  Thank you for your interest in LCCF. On behalf of the LCCF founders and many others,

David Middleton
