Letter: Barrington School Committee should live within its budget

To the editor:

It is time for the School Committee to live within the budget proposed by the Committee on Appropriations.  Instead of baiting parents’ groups to do their bidding, the School Committee should show fiscal responsibility and policy leadership and acknowledge that the economic resources of Barrington’s taxpayers are limited and prioritize their efforts. The School Committee has  the budget it needs to do what needs to be done.  The School Committee does not need the additional funding that will be proposed Wednesday night.  Please hold the School Committee responsible and come to the Financial Town Meeting. Don’t reward bad behavior and let a few decide the tax destiny of the many.
