To the editor:
The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. Although this paper has twice printed articles misinforming its readers about my candidacy for State Representative in District 68, I want to assure everyone my campaign is alive and well. It was first reported I was a candidate for Town Council and not State Representative. I can understand the confusion, as I have previously served on the Warren Town Council. However, the following week it was reported that Mr. Morrison was not seeking re-election and that my Democratic Primary opponent would now be running unopposed. This mistake is a little harder to understand as there are three candidates involved in the race for District 68. After the September 11th primary there will still be two candidates, one Democrat and one Republican, so at no time in this election cycle will anyone be unopposed. I have been working tirelessly, going door to door, gathering support and trying to get my message of “common cent$” out to the voters. I find it disheartening when easily avoidable mistakes create confusion for voters who have a very important choice to make.
