‘Arts and innovation’ raises funds for education foundation

“Learning never exhausts the mind.”

The Bristol Warren Education Foundation started the academic year with this quote from Leonardo da Vinci. We knew that when we selected “Arts and Innovation” as the theme for the 7th annual Bodacious Bee, there was no greater model of the inspirational and entrepreneurial spirit than da Vinci himself.

Lisa Raiola, this year’s honorary chairwoman and founder of Hope & Main, exemplified our theme. The participation and presence of so many Hope & Main makers was a testament to her vision, and demonstrated just one example of the tremendous innovation happening right here in our midst.

Coupled with a gallery of work signifying our partnership with the Anthony Quinn Foundation absolutely brought our evening of arts and innovation to life!

Saturday night’s Bodacious Bee was an unprecedented success, breaking records for attendance and fundraising for our important work. Our event raised more than $55,000 thanks to the continued commitment of our sponsors and collective community. The enthusiasm, energy and tireless support of our board and countless volunteers humbles us. We are extremely grateful to all of you.

The Bristol Warren Education Foundation provides grants for enriching programs that enhance education in our regional school district. If you would like to get involved, join a committee, or make a donation, visit bwedfoundation.org to learn more.
