o-CampagnaRose Campagna, 98 of Bradford Street, Bristol, died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at the St. Elizabeth’s Manor, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, Rose was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (D’Angelo) Campagna.

Rose was a purchasing specialist for the former Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation formerly in Bristol for 34 years before retiring in 1971, she also worked for the former US Rubber formerly in Bristol.  She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Rose was the Valedictorian of  the Colt Memorial High School Class of 1935.  She loved music, she was a pianist and organist and also loved to play bridge.

Rose is survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides, her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Vincent A. “Jimmy,” Frank J., and  C.Thomas Campagna; six sisters, Frances Fasano, Helen, Mary, Marian Campagna, Mildred Merlino and Josephine M. Campagna.

Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2 at the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 141 State St.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be on Thursday morning only, from 8:30 – 10.
